The Great Gatsby

April 15, 2016

“It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life.”

It's better late than never right? Last March 28, 2016, we had our prom and our theme was The Great Gatsby. I can still remember all the gorgeous faces and lovely gowns and tuxedos. Everyone looked so gorgeous and stunning. That night was really a night to remember. My friends looked so fascinating in their gowns. Nobody wanted the night to end. It was so fun that we all wanted a part two of our prom.

The first thing that happened that night is walking down the red carpet and the exchanging of tokens. Then we accidentally settled on the wrong table which was very funny because we had to run to our right table. Fortunately, we were placed at the back, no one could see us laughing hysterically. Right after, we had our dinner which was very good. We were so full and yes we had to go back for the dessert. I was in the same table as my classmates and one of my very close friends, which was very lovely and made the night even better. During our dinner, an awarding happened and our movie, which is an arts project, won with the best movie poster. The dinner was followed by the waltz and the swing. The dancefloor was small but that didn't stop us from having fun. Then a dj came resulting our friends to quickly remove our heels and dance. Overall, the night was very fun and memorable. We took a lot of pictures. We ate a lot of food and we really did enjoy that night.

My make up was done by my lovely cousin and big thanks to her for making me pretty lol! My hair was done by a hairdresser in a local salon called Janet's Salon which is just near my house and that made it even more convenient.
